TitleThis association of Behcet disease and HLA B27
Purposeto report the particularities of an uncommon presentation of Behcet disease which is associated to HLA B27
MethodsA single case report
ResultsA 34-year-old male , from north africa ,without a past medical history , his complaint started 7 years ago with bilateral redness and blurred vision .
Slit lamp examination revealed the presence of bilateral no granulomatous no hypertensive anterior uveitis with positive human leukocyte antigen HLA B27.
Without intermediate or posterior uveitis, The acute anterior uveitis related to HLA B27 was made , the patient was treated with corticosteroid eye drops with a good evolution .

2 years later the patient complained of blurred vision , the fundus examination revealed bilateral retinal vasculitis .
With the presence of 6 criterias the diagnosis of Behcet disease was made .
The patient was treated with systemic corticosteroids and immunosuppressive therapy with a good recovery.

Unfortunately the patient had psychiatric complications due to the corticosteroids.

A Biotherapy was started,resulting in a good remission.
ConclusionThe association of Behcet disease and HLA B27 may cause a therapeutic delay , and it is shown that it had a better prognosis.
