The journal reflects geographical variations in incidence of diseases as well as different treatment modalities worldwide.

• This is the official journal of the International Ocular Inflammation Society (IOIS), focusing on relevant clinical and experimental research on ophthalmic inflammation and infection.

As decided in the last General Assembly in June 2025, IOIS will unfortunately no longer be able to support article processing fees for member-authored manuscripts submitted to and accepted for publication at the Journal of Ophthalmic Inflammation and Infection
