To share an emphasize a shocking case of a SLE Purtscher-like retinopathy and its OCT-A findings.
Methods
Case report presentation structured in the form of an ancilliary test mosaic made of a retinography and OCT-A findings. An explanation of the signs shown in the mosaic, followed by the main body of the text, where the case approach from the patient's entry point to the health system to the resolution is presented. Finally, all bibliographic references which has been used are named.
Results
A Purtscher-like retinopathy were cotton wool exudates, Purtscher flecken, cystic macular edema with neurosensory detachment all along with Paracentral Acute Middle Maculopathy and partial vascular occlusions are exhibited.
Conclusion
Many of the multiple retinal manifestations possibly found in systemic lupus erithematosus are shown in a single case, underscoring the importance of a careful examination even when other systemic manifestations seem to be stabilised.
As far as we know this would be the first time in which OCT-A has been used for the study of SLE Purtscher-like retinopathy.
