Accept poster if oral is not possible ? | Yes |
Purpose | To describe an association between pigmentary retinopathy and multiple sclerosis |
Methods | Case series |
Results | Four patients with intermediate uveitis and pigmentary retinopathy were reviewed. Three patients had a known diagnosis of MS and one was diagnosed after review. The clinical features are described here. |
Conclusion | Patients with intermediate uveitis and pigmentary retinal changes need neuro-imaging prior to initiating anti-TNF drug therapy to exclude multiple sclerosis prior to commencing these drugs as they may unmask or accelerate demyelination. |
