TitleMasquerade Disease in Taiwan: A Long-term Retrospective Multicenter Study
Accept poster if oral is not possible ?Yes
PurposeTo define the clinical manifestations in uveitis patients with masquerade disease
MethodsMulticenter retrospective review from major uveitis refer centers in Taiwan between 2008 to 2017
Results77 masquerade uveitis patients. 29 infection masquerades (37.6%) and 39 tumor masquerades (50.6%). The range of age in our tumor masquerades was from 18 to 90 years. The major timing of making correct diagnosis was by clinical picture, followed by history/system review and by treatment test
ConclusionThis is the largest case series review of uveitis masquerades in Taiwan to date. Tumor masquerades and infection masquerades are both common in Taiwan. Primary intraocular B cell lymphoma is the most commonly seen masquerader. Treatment response is also an important test for reaching the final diagnosis
