Dear Delegates, Colleagues and Friends,

During these unprecedented times we have to remain strong and positive. We have continued to work hard to prepare for the upcoming IOIS Meeting undaunted by the challenges we currently face, looking forward to the time when the IOIS network can again get together to listen, discuss and exchanges ideas.

We therefore, very much look forward to your participation in the next IOIS Congress in conjunction with the Assembly of Ocular Inflammation Societies which will take place virtual, Dec 3-5, 2021. The congress is hosted by the Hellenic Society for the Study of Ocular Inflammations and Infections. We are confident it will again be an excellent meeting bringing together friends and colleagues within the large ocular inflammation community. 

The Congress plans to build on the success of our previous conferences in Paris, France (2007), Prague, Czech Republic (2009), Goa, India (2011),  Valencia, Spain (2014), San Francisco, USA (2015), Lausanne, Switzerland (2017) and Kaohsiung, Taiwan, (2019). A summary of the main topics of this full scientific program, will be soon available on the IOIS congress web site.

The program will start on Thursday 2nd December with the Pre-Congress Course followed by an exciting program run from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th December 2021, and will be completely virtual.

This conference aims to bring people together at a very difficult time, and I encourage your very active and enthusiastic participation: we have so much to learn from each other.
