Post Meeting Message

The IOIS committee would like to thank all those involved with the 2025 congress, including our speakers, sponsors and colleagues for sharing their time and insights during the 18th meeting of the International Ocular Inflammation Society and 8th International Assembly of Ocular Inflammation Societies, which was be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from 25-28 June 2025.

We welcomed over 560 participants from 60 countries. The presentations were of a high calibre and all sessions were well attended. So far, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, which is very encouraging and we look forward to start preparing the 2027 Meeting.

IOIS 2027

We are pleased to announce that the destination for the next IOIS congress in 2027 is Fukuoka, Japan! The 4-day congress will take place from Wednesday July 7 until Saturday July 10, 2027 at the Fukuoka International Congress Center. We look forward to welcoming you all for another exquisite congress !

IOIS 2025 EACCME Accredited

"The 18th International Ocular Inflammation Society - IOIS Congress, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil 25/06/2025 - 28/06/2025 , has been accredited by the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME®) with 21.5 European CME credits (ECMEC®s). Each medical specialist should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity."

"Through an agreement between the Union Européenne des Médecins Spécialistes and the American Medical Association, physicians may convert EACCME® credits to an equivalent number of AMA PRA Category 1 CreditsTM. Information on the process to convert EACCME® credit to AMA credit can be found at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications."

"Live educational activities, occurring outside of Canada, recognised by the UEMS-EACCME® for ECMEC®s are deemed to be Accredited Group Learning Activities (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification Program of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.”

Information regarding the conversion of EACCME® credits
Credit will be converted based on one (1) hour of participation equalling one credit for all activities. Physicians wishing to convert EACCME® credits to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ will be required to access the AMA website at https://edhub.ama-assn.org/pages/applications to obtain the necessary paperwork and instructions. Physicians and other health care professionals will be required to pay a processing fee to the AMA.

For other countries, please contact the relevant national/regional accreditation authority.

EACCME® credits

Each participant can only receive the number of credits he/she is entitled to according to his/her actual participation at the event once he/she has completed the feedback form. Cf. criteria 22 of UEMS 2023.07.


HOW TO Receive Your Certificate of Attendance / EACCME Accreditation

To receive your Certificate of Attendance with EACCME accreditation for the IOIS 2025 Congress, we kindly ask all participants to complete the official Congress Feedback Form. This is a requirement of the EACCME and essential for us to continue providing accredited education.

Registered participants can now download a IOIS 2023 Certificate of Attendance through their IOIS account.

HOW?

  1. Log into your IOIS account through the login panel (see footer of the IOIS website), you will need your email address and password. If you dont have your password or forgot your password, just enter your email address and click "forgot password". An email will be send to you to (re)set your password.
  2. Once logged in click on the green button"My Account"
    - Select "My certificate" from the dropdown menu
    - Click on "Certificate of Attendance IOISCongress 2023 (pdf) the pdf will download automatically
