If you are traveling from the US, Europe, India, or Australia, it is most convenient to book a flight with a short transit through one of these major international hubs:

  • Tokyo, Japan: Narita Airport (NRT) or Haneda Airport (HND)
  • Seoul, South Korea: Incheon International Airport (ICN)
  • Shanghai, China: Shanghai Pudong International Airport (PVG)

Domestic Travel: Arriving from Within Japan
For local delegates or international attendees extending their stay in Japan, Fukuoka offers unmatched domestic connectivity.

  • By Air: Fukuoka Airport is connected to 26 domestic airports across Japan via frequent direct services.
  • By Train (Shinkansen): You can ride Japan's high-speed bullet trains directly to Hakata Station in central Fukuoka. The Shinkansen is world-famous for its absolute punctuality, reliability, and convenience.

Getting Around Fukuoka
Fukuoka is a uniquely compact and highly convenient city. The airport, main railway stations, hotels, shopping centers, and major tourist attractions are all concentrated within a tight 2 km radius, making navigation effortless.

Traveling by Taxi - Taxis are readily available right outside the airport and train station terminals. It is the easiest way to travel directly to the venue:

  • From Fukuoka Airport (FUK): Approximately a 20-minute drive to the Convention Zone.
  • From Hakata Station: Approximately a 7-minute drive to the Convention Zone.

Traveling by Public Transit (Subway and Bus) - Fukuoka features an efficient and user-friendly public transportation network:

  • From the Airport: Take the Fukuoka City Subway from the Domestic Terminal directly to Hakata Station (a quick 5-minute ride). Note: If you land at the International Terminal, take the free airport shuttle bus to the Domestic Terminal to access the subway.
  • From Hakata Station: Walk outside to Bus Stop F and board Nishitetsu Bus No. 88, No. 99, or the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit). Alight directly at the "Fukuoka International Congress Center" stop.
