| Results | Diagnosis of infective uveitis is mandatory for effective management to avert visual morbidity and blindness. Bangladesh is a TB endemic country, domestic pets are common almost in every household. These factors influences in the causation of infective uveitis. The absence of a structured protocol, poor availability of lab facilities stands as a obstacle to a dependable data in this regard. The available data also differs greatly from center to center. However the available data shows the distribution of infective uveitis as idiopathic 50-52%, tubercular 33%, toxoplasma 7%, syphilis 2% and others 5%. Others include post operative and viral infections. |
